Teaching Style
Our teaching style emphasizes clarity, cleanliness, and the full embodiment of movement. Through a safe and nurturing environment, our students learn the focus, determination, and sense of humor in order to reach and then surpass their own artistic and lifestyle goals. Injury-prevention, proper alignment, and technical precision are at the forefront of Lauren's pedagogical methodology. We believe organization and strong attention to detail enables our students to thrive in their own unique learning style. We cater to each individual dancer. And through understanding that every person learns differently, we meet our students where they are and effectively guide them to where they aim to be. Our responsibilities as teachers and artistic mentors are not to be overlooked. The necessity of safety, enthusiasm, positivity, preparation, and commitment to curate a warm, inviting space is paramount. Inspiring our students to be the best version of themselves, treat others with respect and kindness, and embrace the qualities that make them special form the pillars of our educational outlook. Lauren's own intricate, unique, quirky, vivacious and musical choreographic tendencies infuse our classes with a greater sense of appropriate challenge and bubbly perspective. The immense amount of improvement and steady progression our students showcase is emblematic of their joy in learning and our devotion to their rich growth.
Incorporating our personal experiences from various master teachers at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and American Ballet Theatre, our classes immerse individuals in expertise passed down from generations of leading professional educators. Our teaching style is rooted in classical dance techniques and adaptability to students of all levels and training backgrounds.
